Coding is almost complete for what we think is one of the biggest features of RPMWare … the ability to completely customize the look of your site. In the v1.0 release you will have the ability to completely change the look of your site. For those of you familiar with web design you can edit a single .css file to control the styling of every element on the page. For some examples of what can be done check out: CSS Zen Garden Each design is based off the same HTML page with a different style sheet. By editing one file you can completely manipulate everything on the page. For those with less technical experience we will also be offering over 20 configurable elements that you can select styles for. For instance you can choose a black background with white text and red title elements. It is all very simple. In addition, regardless of which customization route you choose, you will be able to select one of two navigation styles as well as choose to either use oyour header and footer or create your own. We tried to figure out how many different combinations there could be, but we got dizzy and just decided to call it “unlimited.” We’ll do a tutorial once everything is buttoned up.

January 29th marked the official launch of RPMWare marking the accumulation of months and months of work, frustrations, ups, downs, blood, sweat and the occasional tear. With that said, we’d like to THANK YOU for stepping up and giving this thing a shot. We’re working hard on making RPMWare perfect and with support from our industry partners and you, the RPMWare community it will be everything we’ve hoped for.

RPMWare 1.0 on the Way

RPMWare v 1.0 codenamed “Helium” is slated for a March 1st release. Behind the scenes our developers are modifying database schemas and pouring over thousands of lines of code. Helium will be a much more stable release with an assortment of new features. Most of these features will be in your admin area as well as general functionality. The next release will concentrate more on the customer experience.
